About me
Alex Perry, Senior Policy Advisor at Foresight Law + Policy, has spent the last decade working in policy and advocacy to advance college access and success for more students through partnerships between K-12 and higher education. A nationally recognized expert in dual enrollment and early postsecondary opportunities, a core focus of Alex’s work has been working on policies supporting college in high school programs, such as dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, and early college high school. Alex’s skills include state and federal policy consulting, state technical assistance, federal advocacy, policy analysis and development, partnership building, coalition management, grant writing, and grant support.
Alex serves as Coordinator of the College in High School Alliance (CHSA), a partnership of national organizations working on the federal and state level to advance policy solutions that advance high-quality and equity-focused college in high school programs. In that capacity, he serves as the lead staff person working for the Steering Committee of CHSA, and as their lead advocate. Alex has directly provided support to policymakers in 26 states to help them design policy solutions to advance college access and success through college in high school programs, and he is the lead author of a number of CHSA’s publications, including The Next Phase of Dual Enrollment Policy: A Vision for the Field and Unlocking Potential: A State Policy Roadmap for Equity and Quality in College in High School Programs.
Alex also serves as a consultant and primary staff contact for the Dual Enrollment Research Fund, a collaborative effort to support new research into dual enrollment that has provided $1 million in research awards to expand policy and practice-relevant dual enrollment research.
