About me
I am a dedicated high school math teacher currently teaching Math 1,2 at Duplin Early College High School. Since August 2024, I have been committed to creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and capable of success. I believe all students can grow in math when they are given structure, encouragement, and meaningful learning experiences.In my classroom, I focus on building strong relationships and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual students and those at different academic levels. I use collaborative strategies, purposeful reading activities, and math stations to keep students engaged and actively involved in their learning. My goal is not only to help students understand mathematical concepts but also to build their confidence and problem-solving skills.I am passionate about helping students push past frustration, develop resilience, and prepare for college and career success. Teaching is more than a job for me it is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of my students.
