About me
Kiara Blue is an advocate for the youth's accessibility to resources and opportunities as well as their overall well-being. She knew that working with adolescents and young adults was her passion since she was a young teenager. These passions lead her to pursue a career in social work and education. Ms. Blue is a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Immediately after, she earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from North Carolina State University. The core of Ms. Blue’s work is to encourage the students she connects with to acknowledge their potential and use their strengths to reach their goals. Most of her education profession has been spent in the high school setting where she has been the coordinator of dropout prevention services, an advocate against absenteeism, and the bridge for many families and the resources they needed. Her current role as the School Social Worker for Cabarrus-Kannapolis Early College and Cabarrus Early College of Technology allows her to support students through social-emotional initiatives, mental health supports, and more. As Kiara continues to make her mark professionally, she is looking forward to building more meaningful connections, making room for those who will come after her, and achieving new heights in her field.
