About me
Dr. Andrew Goodwin, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of Assessment, Grants, and Sponsored Programs at Fitchburg State University. He has worked in the liminal space between K-12 and higher education promoting college access and success with a focus on low-income and first-generation students for more than 20 years. In this time, he has been a Director of Early College and Dual Enrollment, Advisor, Testing and Tutoring Coordinator, Academic Resource Specialist, Adjunct Professor, and Grant Director at the university and community college levels. He has held various roles on the boards of the New England Educational Opportunity Association, and Massachusetts Educational Opportunity Association, as well as The Fitchburg High School Improvement Council, and the Sizer Charter Essential School Board of Trustees. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in American History from Framingham State College and Fitchburg State University respectively as well as a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He recently earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from UMass Lowell with his dissertation research focusing on student experiences in Early College and dual enrollment programs.
